Studley is a large village between Redditch and Alcester, historically centred on needle and fishing-tackle manufacturing, with an attractive mix of older terraced housing and open countryside on its southern and western edges. The village is embedded in the Warwickshire orchard belt — apple, pear and plum in long mature gardens — and the Arrow Valley meadows carry white clover and meadowsweet not far to the west.
Collectors attend swarms in the old orchard trees of Studley Park and the hedged gardens around Church Street, in the tall hedgerows and elder along Alcester Road, and in outbuildings and meter boxes around the village fringe towards Mappleborough Green.

Early flows come from blackthorn and cherry in the Arden hedgerows and oilseed rape on the lighter soils around Southam and Shipston. Hawthorn is abundant; sycamore and field maple fill the middle of May. Lime and sweet chestnut in the parkland around Warwick, Kenilworth and Stratford produce a strong June flow. Bramble and rosebay willowherb support July, and a solid ivy flow along the ironstone villages closes a long season.
