Typical swarm locations
Collectors attend swarms in the older stone and slate-roofed properties along the river bridge and village centre, along the Afon Glaslyn and Colwyn riverside oak and alder margins, in the Aberglaslyn Pass National Trust woodland and gorge scrub south of the village, on the Snowdon massif bilberry and heather fringe above the Nantgwynant valley, and in the farm outbuildings and walled-garden margins of the old properties on the valley floor.
