Typical swarm locations
Collectors attend swarms in the distinctive whitewashed National Trust cottages and the older stone village buildings, along the Dun River oak and ash valley woodland in lower Glendun, on the heather moorland and bilberry fringe of the upper Glendun glen accessible from the coast road, on the coastal scrub and thrift grassland of the bay and clifftop, and in the farm outbuildings of the drumlin and coastal farmland around the village.
